Excursions & Itinerary

Day 1: UK - Croatia

Fly to Dubrovnik and transfer to the port to embark your ship, where the captain, tour manager and crew will welcome you aboard and help you settle into your comfortable, well-appointed cabin. Meet your travelling companions over drinks and dinner, which is included on board this evening. The ship remains moored in Dubrovnik overnight, so perhaps after dinner you may like to go ashore and enjoy a drink in one of the local bars. Regarded as the “Pearl of the Adriatic”, with its World Heritage listed Old Town providing a treasure-trove of Medieval, Venetian and Baroque architecture, this Dalmatian city will astound you. The ship’s bar will also be open should you decide to stay on board.

Day 2: Dubrovnik – Included Sightseeing Tour - Slano

After our buffet breakfast a coach takes us to meet our guide for our included walking tour of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, which is completely encircled by its vast 15th century stone walls which appear the same today as they did 700 years ago. The main avenue, the Stradun, is lined by inviting cafés and restaurants and is completely paved with marble. Other highlights will include the Franciscan Monastery that houses Europe's oldest pharmacy, and the Rector's Palace (entrances payable locally). After the tour the time is your own to make further discoveries in this fascinating city. Perhaps stroll around the 1,900 metres long walls or take a ride on the cable car to the top of Srd Hill for breathtaking views of the city and beyond. A return coach transfer to the ship is scheduled for this afternoon or you can easily return on your own. Then we'll sail to the charming village of Slano which is situated on the mainland where we stay overnight. Dinner this evening is served on board. As well as last night’s and tonight's dinner, our cruise includes a daily buffet breakfast, four 3 course lunches and the Captain's Dinner. Inspired by local ingredients and produce, all the meals are freshly prepared by the chef on board. Over the next four evenings when we are in port you can explore ashore and choose your own restaurant for dinner. When you come back on board why not sit under the stars on the sun deck and enjoy a nightcap from the ship’s bar?

Day 3 Slano - Mljet National Park - Korcula

Enjoy the views of the Korcula islands archipelago as we head towards the island of Mljet where, legend says, the Greek hero Odysseus spent many years after he was captured by the nymph Calypso. Spend some time exploring the National Park, the Great and Small Lake and don’t forget to visit the 12th century Benedictine Monastery. We then continue today’s cruise whilst enjoying lunch as we sail to Korcula. Korcula’s Old Town is referred to by the locals as “Little Dubrovnik” and is a delightful collection of medieval churches, palaces and squares. On arrival we’ll have a guided walking tour of the charming Old Town with its narrow streets, which are laid out in a herringbone pattern. After our guided walking tour, you are free to explore this beautiful town further. Korcula has a variety of harbour side restaurants and cafes, so you can easily choose where to eat for dinner.

Day 4 Korcula - Vis

This morning we'll cruise to Vis, with lunch on board and a swim stop en-route. Compared to other Adriatic islands, Vis is rather unique because it was a closed island until 1989, due to its status as a military installation. Now, visitors can enjoy this largely untouched island, with its superb beaches and an impressive inland mountain chain. The town of Vis features Venetian-Gothic architecture and the white-walled Our Lady of Spilica. The island is also home to the ruins of Issa, an ancient Greek settlement and the oldest urban centre in Croatia. We stay overnight in Vis Town with its picturesque stone streets, pristine beaches and fine taverns.

Day 5 Vis - Bisevo Blue Cave - Hvar

An early departure this morning as we sail to the island of Hvar, making a port of call en-route at Bisevo Island where we visit the Blue Cave (sea levels permitting/entrance included). After a swim stop and lunch we'll continue cruising along many coves and bays towards Hvar. Hvar is renowned as the sunniest of all the Croatian islands and an attractive tourist destination. Upon arrival a local guide will walk us through the town with its historical landmarks and introduce you to its millenia-long history, culture and way of life. After our walk the evening is at leisure. Being a popular resort Hvar’s many restaurants, bars and cafes are open long into the night. Overnight in the port.

Day 6 Hvar - Bol - Trogir

This morning enjoy a leisurely breakfast as we sail towards Bol, known for having one of the finest beaches in Europe, the Zlatini Rat or Golden Cape. Once we stop in Bol you can wander through the charming town and along the promenade or enjoy a swim before returning to the ship for lunch. After lunch as we sail to Trogir, soak up the sun and enjoy the views of secluded bays and idyllic coves. We arrive in the ancient town of Trogir during the afternoon, which is actually on a tiny island linked to the mainland with a bridge. It’s a wonderful little town to wander around, with its many ancient buildings lining the narrow streets which lead down to the vibrant seafront with its bars and restaurants. A local guide will take us on a walking tour of this UNESCO World Hertage site. This evening the Captain's Dinner is served on board, along with live music entertainment.

Day 7: Trogir - Split

After breakfast we sail for UNESCO listed Split, our last port of call on our fabulous cruise, with a swim stop on the way. Croatia’s second-largest city seamlessly brings together the country’s traditional and contemporary elements. Our local guide will take us on a walking tour of the Old Town where we will see Diocletian’s Palace, which is an amazing example of Roman architecture and features a myriad of hideaway bars and cafes. After our tour the time is your own to further explore this ancient and bustling city and to perhaps enjoy dinner in a rooftop restaurant, whilst admiring one last sunset over the Adriatic. Overnight on board.

Day 8: Split – UK

After breakfast we disembark and transfer to Split airport at the appropriate time for our return flight to the UK.
