Magic of the Italian Lakes

Description

This is a wonderful, relaxing two-centre holiday which combines truly stunning scenery and the old-world charm of Italy's premier lakes, together with visits to an historic city and a trip into Switzerland too.The Great Lakes of Italy are world renowned for their beauty - crystal clear Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake, fringed with delightful resorts and extravagant villas; fjord-like Lake Como with picturesque villages and colourful gardens; and breathtaking Lake Maggiore, Italy's second largest lake, Mediterranean in climate and dotted with idyllic, flower filled islands. Isola Bella, with the ancient Borromeo Palace and its splendid terraced gardens is, perhaps, the most famous; and tranquil Lake Lugano, in the Italian speaking region of Switzerland, is a magnificent lake in a breathtaking setting, its shores lined with chic resorts and sub-tropical gardens.
