Overview

This superb value holiday takes in some of southern Italy's most spectacular Mediterranean coastline, together with the ancient city of Rome. Our carefully planned holiday itinerary offers a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration with sightseeing in Rome and southern Italy, together with time at leisure in our holiday resort on the Amalfi Coast.

The Amalfi Coast has been long famed for its enticing mild climate and the stunning coastal scenery will take your breath away. It has an abundance of olive groves, terraced vineyards, lemon trees, flourishing gardens and a coastline dotted with chic resorts and quaint fishing villages. Close by is the Sorrento Peninsula, the Bay of Naples and the beautiful Isle of Capri, which you can also explore on our included sightseeing excursions, all of which are within easy reach from our resort. Bargain hunters will find a wide variety of fascinating shops selling local handicrafts including inlaid woodwork, lace and hand carved cameos.

In early and late summer, the Amalfi Coast is warm and sunny, without the more intense heat of the high summer. This really is the ideal time to visit - perfect for enjoying the sights without the busy crouds of high season too.

The Eternal City of Rome, once the centre of the civilised world and with a continuous civilisation of 2,700 years, is packed with wonderful and awe inspiring architecture and monuments from throughout the centuries. Rome is without doubt the most fascinating of all Italy's historical cities and there is, perhaps, more to see in Rome than any other city in the world. The "city within a city", the Vatican, is the cradle of the Catholic Church and a visit to St. Peter's Basilica is an absolute must, along with the Colosseum and tossing a coin into the Trevi Fountain.
